I think in cyber space, such labels are handy to figure out who's new, and how long they've been around. This gives a sense of order to things. It is a persons own words and attitudes towards others, that give credibility and due respect. Perhaps phychologically, deep down though, we all compete and vie for attention and love in our own way, even without labeling our time spent here.

The psychology of internet posting
by onacruse inkate and i were having a discussion (with some differences of opinion .
what if there were no "total posts" listed under your screen name?
what if there were no such tags as "newbie, junior, senior, etc., etc., etc.," or "forum assistant, administrator.".

I was at a special convention in the 80's and saw him do it. He was as blind as a bat and had brothers assisting him. I think he went on for at least 2 hrs. At the end of the convention I asked him a question and I found him rather rude, in his response. I suppose he must have been tired though.

Do you think Jesus gave every Christian a personal commission to preach?
by under_believer in"go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things i have commanded you.
i am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.
" (matthew 28:19, 20 | nwt) .

The main message and command of Jesus, if he in fact if he existed was to love one another. There are many that couldn't read or understand his words. How is it they therfore could be preached to? There wasn't any writing either, so it was more actions than words that counted in my opinion.Love is a message that anyone can understand and show. This is in itself preaching and is a far more powerful message. I simplify it by saying " here's a hug, I understand and care pass it on". We don't get into the letter of the law but rather the spirit of the law. I beleive this can still be possible without a figurehead to enforce it as well. The great dicovery of this man Jesus, was love and he wanted it written in their hearts, not their heads.

Good question. I was puzzled by it context the other day, in the post your pic's thread. I get the drift of what was said, but I still can't figure out why kool aid, has any meaning, in the sense that it was used. I am glad to see however, that other people don't get it either. Any how, I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here. I let it go into the archives of interesting ,misunderstood expressions. I am guessing that's what you were refering to, in this question. If not, I guess I stand alone. Sparky tried to explain it to me, as well as Ms mc D. I guess I have a pretty thick head sometimes. I guess the best thing to do, is rent the movie Clerk II. Here you will find the answer to this query, in the proper context it was meant for, on the thread. I think they was jus jivin me Right Thelma, right Louise! You naughty pair of deviants. lol

Define your spiritual side
by JH inalthough i don't go to meetings anymore, i'm inactive, never was disfellowshipped, i still have a "spiritual side to me", something that is deeply rooted in.
on one side, i see errors the watchtower makes, and on the other side i take what's good about them, and that's why i don't fit in with them.
i don't meet their standards, nor do they meet mine.

What is your town or area's claim to fame?
by free2beme inevery where you live, the local area has something about it that is either famous for something good or something bad.
as an example, you go to one town and it may have the historial site of a famous war battle.
you go to another an it might be the place something was invented, or the birthplace of someone famous.

I grew up beside the old Carlsbad Spings hotel named after the Carlsbad Caverns in new Mexico, famous for there mineral waters. The hotel was first built in the 1850's and became a sanitorium years later. The name of the original village was Cathartic and the first prime minister of Canada, Sir John A. Mac Donald used to frequent this establishmnet. It was so popular in fact, that they built a railway, just to acesss this and the Jews used to drink and bathe in the waters from all over Ottawa. The farmhouse I grew up in has door nobs 160 years old so I suspect lots of famous folk were in our home long ago.

That's happening to me right now. For years I walked around sick, not knowing why. I finally found out I have a stomach disorder that is very much controlable. I also found out that I have been walking around with a slipped disc in my back for the last 25 years which will soon be fixed. Lastly I found out I had three tooth infections, causing much anguish over the years. All fixable, I'm so happy to say , but why so frigggin late in life. I had seen doctors before about these things and they were wrong on every single diagnosis. It wasn't until I researched myself did I start getting answers.
